What we need YOU to do:

Ohio EPA Division of Drinking and Ground Waters is looking for an engaging and passionate leader in our Southwest District Office.

You’re a leader. You’re good with people and you know how to get stuff done. Yep, we’d be a good fit!

The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency wants you on our team and become the newest environmental supervisor to complement the incredible work going on inside the Division of Drinking and Ground Waters in beautiful Montgomery County.

In this role you will develop, coordinate and implement different ground water programs like Source Water Assessment and Protections and Ambient Ground Water Monitoring for the Southwest District Office.

You will also help to ensure compliance with state policies, statutes and guidelines while helping to develop statewide ground water management and protection plans, policies, procedures and regulations. On top of supervising all geologists’ field and office work, you’ll develop and monitor all division budgets and purchases.

Arguably, most important, you’ll be a face of the Ohio EPA while representing the agency on various ground water committees and task forces. You’ll also provide technical assistance to industries, municipalities and citizens when it relates to ground water protection and management.

  • Supervise and assist technical staff engaged in activities in the SWAP, Ambient, and 106 programs in SWDO DDAGW.
  • Supervise technical staff activities, establish work assignments and coordinate, schedule, and track work to assure program commitments are met.
  • Review staff work products to ensure consistency with Agency and office procedures and practices.
  • Assist the Environmental Manager with development, coordination, tracking and implementation of district DDAGW programs.
  • Work closely with the Environmental Manager in the development of the district program commitments to ensure these are in line with district/division goals and objectives.
  • Report on the progress of the group in meeting commitments.

Most positions offer the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule that combines working from home with regular in-office and/or field work. In-person work requirements may change for training, meetings, and other operational needs.
