The City of Essex Junction is seeking an empathetic and resourceful Equipment Maintenance Technician to keep our equipment functioning at a high level. The ideal candidate will possess superior interpersonal skills, high-quality work ethics and excellent organizational abilities. This position requires a dedicated employee who can effectively communicate with other employees, vendors and clients to ensure prompt service while following all safety procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical equipment failures.
- Monitor the current condition of the equipment and make repairs before major failures occur.
- Follow all safety procedures and precautions to ensure that personal injury does not occur.
- Maintain equipment logs for each operation.
- Maintain repair logs for each operation.
- Develop standardized procedures for the maintenance and operation of the company's equipment.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors for parts and services.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.58 - $22.00 per hour
