Executive Chef – Calle Sol Latin Café & Cevicheria **We are also hiring Sous Chefs

Calle Sol brings the taste of Latin American cuisine to an iconic location in Plaza Midwood via the flavors and neighborhoods of Miami. We are the first Cevicheria in the area and are excited to be adding a second location in 2023 to the Charlotte market. We are looking for an experienced Executive Chef to bring high energy to the fun atmosphere we will be providing our guests. You don’t need to like salsa dancing but extra points if you do! Executive Chef Responsibilities:

● Regulate production according to restaurant needs using provided data

● Communicate with line to staff to keep productions stocked

● Maintain a safe and clean work environment

● Enforce health safety and sanitation standards and procedures for food handling,

cleanliness, and restaurant maintenance

● Execute recipes and perfect classic dishes from the Hispanic diaspora

● Lead consistent compliance with operational standards, company policies,

federal/state/local laws, and ordinances

● Direct the hiring, supervision, development and when necessary, termination of employees

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

● Has a High School Diploma - Graduate of an accredited culinary program preferred

● Has a minimum of 4 years of experience in a high-volume restaurant (Latin cuisine

experience is required to be considered a candidate)

● Has a proven track record of producing quality food and controlling food and labor costs

● Can work in a fast-paced environment, fancy footwork a plus

● Possess a driver's license and your own reliable transportation

● Can stand and walk for long periods of time – 8-12 hours per shift

● Can lift 25-50 pounds

● Is available to work in Charlotte, NC and surrounding areas
