SINGLES TRAVEL INTERNATIONAL specializes in group vacations for singles ages 50-70 who are seeking fun, excitement and camaraderie. Our small group of travel professionals shares a passion for making vacation dreams come true and transforming the lives of our members by creating exceptional experiences every step of the way.

Our valued members - from our 25,000-member community - need guidance to get started, often taking a vacation by themselves for the very first time, and we are there to make sure they are comfortable, taken care of, and that they have a wonderful time.

PART-TIME CONTRACT TOUR DIRECTOR

Who You Are

• You are an EXPERIENCED tour director, having a minimum of 3 years solid experience leading and managing (and traveling with) adult groups on cruise ships and land tours.
• You are Patient and Empathetic, having a passion for helping or supporting others.
• You are Organized, Disciplined and Detailed-Oriented.
• You have a minimum of an Associate’s Degree.

What You’ll Be Doing

• As the “face” of Singles Travel International while on tour, you’ll be responsible for planning, coordinating and executing daily activity plans, events, games and theme parties with universal appeal across gender and age groups – ensuring each and every member has a memorable experience.
• You’ll facilitate meaningful social interaction among our members at every opportunity.
• You’ll create a unique STI weekly program on your laptop, fill in additional activities in conjunction with cruise-line program, print and deliver to each guest at Welcome meeting.
• You’ll promote future sales and memberships for Singles Travel International while traveling.

WhatYou’ve Done in the Past

• Traveled both domestically and internationally as a tour director with adult groups on cruise and land tours, working tirelessly to make their vacation dreams come true
• Created multi-day schedules/itineraries for groups, often times “on the fly” using Google Docs, Word and other computer software
• Created memorable experiences for your clients while traveling utilizing your destination knowledge
• Utilized social media (Facebook, Twitter,Instagram) to promote the company you work with
• Worked on-site in a team environment

Who You Are NOT

• A person who simply wants to travel the world
• Someone who isn’t highly social, extroverted and energetic
• Someone who gets seasick
• Someone who has not managed groups for 16-hour days on week-plus-long tours
