Blackhawk Equipment is looking for a motivated and skilled General Fabricator for its Fabrication shop located in Arvada, CO. A qualified candidate will be responsible for helping in metal fabricating, component fit up, threading pipe and general shop activities. In addition, Fabricators at Blackhawk Equipment are the first line of quality control. Fabricators will be required to inspect their work to verify it is free of errors and defects and that it is up to the expectations of the Shop Foreman and Quality Control Personnel.

Specific Fabrication Shop Fabricator duties include but are not limited to:

· Welding – GMAW, SMAW, FCAW (GTAW is a plus but not required)

• Welding: 3yrs minimum with previous FCAW or SMAW welding certifications, 3G/4G structural 5G/6G pipe – or ability to obtain.
• Clean MVR

· Metal skid assembly - cutting beam/channel, coping, fitting, welding.

· Interpreting specifications and drawings (Knowledge of CAD is a plus)

· Pipe fitting – Threaded, welded, solder, pro press, glue (PVC)

· Coping steel – Fitting standard structural shapes, Channel, W flange, Angle

· Cutting steel – manual plasma and oxy-acetylene torches, (CNC plasma experience is a plus)

· Daily setup and cleanup

· Operation of fork trucks

· Loading and rigging

· Unloading deliveries

· Picking up and delivering products

· Assisting in maintaining department vehicles when necessary

· Proto-Type assembly and development

· Off-site work installing equipment and piping

Compensation: Commensurate with experience / Skills

Hours: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Monday – Friday, one hour lunch.
