Position Summary
Equity Labs at the Graduate School of Social Work seeks talented facilitator-collaborators with deep experience in diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice (DEIJ) to join our team. The central role of this position is to facilitate Equity Labs workshops and be responsible for the following additional duties.
Equity Labs is a diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice consulting and upskilling program located within the Graduate School of Social Work that catalyzes meaningful workplace change through practice and application. Equity Labs supports organizations, individuals, and teams who want to make their workplaces equitable for all employees and clients. Our main offering is a series of workshop packages - participation in the workshops includes immersive activities and expertly facilitated conversations to shift participants’ perspectives. Pre-work and follow-up engagement provide additional opportunities to practice, reflect, and deepen learnings among colleagues.
Equity Labs engages participants at four organizational levels: intrapersonal, interpersonal, epistemic, and institutional. In the workshops we build awareness of how systemic inequities create unwelcoming workplaces, we provide tools and strategies participants can use to shift these dynamics, we create a space in which to practice and apply these learnings, and we tap into individual creativity to imagine what’s possible.
