Job Title: Facilities Technician

Reports To: Facilities Manager

Summary of Position: Facilities Technician will perform general preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, equipment and grounds. Working under close supervision, assists in monitoring building system operations and performance. Utilizes several trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating and cooling.

Duties and Responsibilities

• The Facilities Maintenance Technician will perform general preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, equipment and grounds
• Working under close supervision, assists in monitoring building system operations and performance
• Complies with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and company directives related to building operations and work safety
• Performs Daily Rounds and fills out Log Sheets
• Performs assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance
• Completes maintenance and repair records as required
• Reviews assigned work orders
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Follow all activity policies and procedures
• Assists with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems to include: plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop, and HVAC
• Maintains grounds of facility or property performing such tasks as raking, sweeping, leaf blowing or snow removal
• Responds quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed
• Supervising Contractors entering and exiting the building in limited access areas
• Other Duties as requested

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be 21 years old
• Aptitude for mechanics and problem solving
• Proficient with tools
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Team player
• Strong organizational skills
• Sound decision-making skills
• Ability to be analytical
• Strong attention to detail
• Tendency to be proactive

Physical and Environmental Requirements

• Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours
• Flexible schedule
• Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds
• Ability to sit, squat, bend, and kneel repetitively throughout a workday
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to use a ladder (up to 12 ft. extension) and general hardware tools needed for common repairs

• Schedule: This is a highly accountable, goal oriented position and the schedule is determined by what is required to meet objectives

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.46 - $23.84 per hour
