OVERVIEW: The Family Support Navigator acts as a communication and trust bridge between the family, child protective services, social services, and mental health systems performing duties in a strength-based, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed manner. This position will reduce stress and social isolation and increase community connections and well-being for all adults and children in neighborhoods hardest hit by COVID.
LOCATION: 2251 Florin Road, Sacramento, CA 95822 - Family Resource Center
SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
SALARY: $19.26 - $21.66 per hour
A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
Two years of experience with high-risk populations in a social service setting and experience with culturally diverse communities and families is required.
Must reflect those who reside in the service neighborhoods identified in contract with First 5 Sacramento.
Driving is an essential function of this job. As such, employees in this position will be required to furnish their own vehicle to be used in the course of employment. A valid driver’s license and minimum insurance coverage is also required. Must be at least 21 years old.
