Field Mechanic

Summary:

Flogistix, LP seeks experienced field mechanic with at least 3-5 years’ experience working on General Motors 5.7L Engines. Some Cummins experience helpful as well as coursework pertaining to this field. Candidate will work independently as well as with a team and needs strong customer service and communication skills. The field mechanic will be responsible for ensuring the functionality and reliability of the equipment. Candidate must have a high attention to detail and manual dexterity. The Field Mechanic will work with various machines and must follow all safety procedures.

Qualifications

Responsibilities:

• 2 years’ experience in reciprocating or screw compression
• Build and assemble equipment or mechanical components according to requirements
• Inspect equipment, engines, etc. and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues
• Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner
• Perform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment and systems
• Clean and apply lubricants to machinery components
• Replenish fluids and components of engines and equipment
• Undertake other duties as assigned
• Must have a high school diploma/GED

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; sit; walk; kneel; stoop; use hands to handle/feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Will occasionally be required to climb or balance. Must maintain a valid drivers’ license. Must pass and comply with all DOT regulations. Candidate will work outdoors and travel up to 75% of the time or more.
