Finance Manager - Charlottesville, VA Job at Vaco
Vaco Richmond is recruiting for an Finance Manager for a dynamic, fast-paced, and growing company in the Charlottesville area. The Finance Manager will be responsible for financial reporting, accounting policy, general ledger accounting, and analysis. The role is in the office five days a week.

- Work closely with leadership
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close
- Document and update accounting processes and procedures
- Participate in year-end audit creating documentation and schedules
- Support budget and forecasting activities
- Work directly with all the other Finance Team members in the company
- Ensure that all the financial reporting deadlines are met and advice on any reporting matters
- Develop and implement new accounting procedures, internal controls and process improvements
- Provide training to new and existing staff if needed
- Participate in the annual budget process
Skills and Education Needed:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- CPA required
- 7+ years of relevant work experience in finance and accounting roles including general ledger, monthly closing activity, financial reporting, internal controls, and financial analysis
- Public accounting/audit experience a plus
- Ability to multi-task, strong verbal and written communication skills and problem solve.
- Strong Excel skills
