Siren Retail Finance is seeking a finance leader to uphold our team’s mission to deliver critical finance support for our Siren Retail organization by providing financial support to maximize portfolio revenue and profitability, and ensure analytical rigor is embedded in all key decisions. To accomplish this, we need individuals with experience supporting retail partnerships and initiating collaborative, cross-organizational project initiatives to drive financial success, process improvements, ensure holistic accountability, and better support business objectives and strategic direction.

This job contributes to Starbucks success by partnering with the business to drive the development of strategic plans, annual budgets and quarterly forecasts. The ideal candidate will have experience leading a team of finance professionals in conducting complex analysis of key performance measures to influence decision-making for a business unit or global function and will have strong collaboration and communication skills.

As a finance manager, you will:
Lead - Setting goals for the work group, developing organizational capability, and modeling how we work together:
o Incorporating key priorities for both the business unit and function represented.
o Works collaboratively with and often leads cross-functional teams to coordinate and provide guidance on strategic plans, annual budgets, and quarterly forecasts.
o Ensures effective communication and timely resolution of conflicts.
o Identifies and communicates key responsibilities and practices to ensure the immediate team of direct reports promotes a successful attitude, confidence in leadership, and teamwork to achieve business results.
o Pushes the organization forward and leads changes and improvements.

Plan and Execute - Developing strategic and operational plans for the work group, managing execution, and measuring results:
o Drives a function’s long-range financial and business plan.
o Oversees and influences comprehensive analysis required to support investment decision for business programs and products including measurement against key financial metrics and targets.
o Plans and manages business unit and department processes and practices to ensure that programs are aligned with company business goals and objectives.
o Prepares, communicates, and educates client groups and team on changes in policies and practices within the organization.

Business Requirements - Providing functional expertise and executing functional responsibilities:
o Provides overall vision in creating and implementing processes/tools used in financial controls and financial plans.
o Supports senior leaders in the development of strategic plans, annual operating plans and quarterly forecast; leads review sessions with senior business and finance leadership.
o Manages the team’s day-today activities in drafting, analyzing and completing plans or forecasts that align with business or departmental strategies and priorities and in accordance with accounting policies.
o Works with cross-functional teams to improve processes, set targets, develop plans, conduct complex analyses, and measure results.
o Ensures systems are consistent and integrated with the business practices they support. Identifies key issues and weaknesses, provides solutions for improvement, and manages the implementation of system enhancements.
o Leads the creation of complex models, conducts research, and analyzes actual business unit performance against targets in the operating plans, strategic plans, forecasts and sales incentive plans as applicable. Quantifies opportunities and risks and recommends alternatives.

Partner Development & Team Building - Providing partners with coaching, feedback, and developmental opportunities and building effective teams:
o Challenges and inspires partners to achieve business results.
o Conducts and ensures the completion of performance reviews.
o Ensures partners adhere to legal and operational compliance requirements.
o Oversees training and development of partners directly and indirectly managed and makes effective staffing decisions.


We’d love to hear from people with 5 to 7 years of progressive experience in financial management including:
o Budgeting
o Financial Forecasting and Analysis
o Pricing and margins
o Variance analysis
o Cost allocation
o Fact-finding or auditing
o Leading project work

o 3 to 5 years prior management or supervision experience preferred but not required
o Proven communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills
