Financial Analyst Job at Zentis North America
Zentis is Europe's number one fruit processing company and one of the leading brand manufacturers of jams, sweets and custard-based dessert. The Company's North American operations are located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Plymouth, Indiana, where we produce fruit and dairy preparations for a variety of customers including yogurt, ice cream and bakery manufacturers.
This is a business partner role which works closely with the Operations and Finance Groups in preparing, evaluating and improving plant metrics for the site. Assists the Director of Operations and other Operations and Finance personnel with ad hoc projects, weekly reporting, calculating and organization. Leads improved financial performance by providing support for site projects, process order settlements, reporting and initiatives and ensuring the accuracy of the site financials.
Primary Responsibilities:
Manages, analyzes, evaluates, and draws conclusions regarding Process Order Settlement and Costing process and works closely with Operations and Finance groups to strive for and achieve efficiency and productivity improvements.
Create and lead annual budget for the Operations group on site, assist other cost center managers in budget development.
Creation and improvement of internal Controlling processes and existing reporting tools.
Partner with multiple cross-functional teams at site to achieve productivity initiatives.
Performance of monthly, quarterly, and yearly closes including posting of journal entries to ensure the general ledger accounts are correctly stated and classified and financial reporting is in accordance with US GAAP standards.
Part of the Finance team responsible for annual inventory.
Responsible for managing and delivering the complete plant financial profile.
Responsible for keeping track of discontinued articles and lead cost savings projects related to it.
Formal Education Required:
Bachelor’s Degree.
Specific Experience and Key Knowledge Requirements:
1-3 years of general finance or accounting experience.
Special Skills and Abilities Required: Advanced Excel
PowerPoint skills.
SAP and SAP BW knowledge.
