On November 1, 2020, Dominion Energy sold its gas transmission and storage business to Berkshire Hathaway Energy. Job Summary
BHE GT&S has an exciting Financial Analyst/Sr. Financial Analyst position available in our Bridgeport, WV office. The position will be filled commensurate with the candidate's experience. Flexible work arrangements, including hybrid or compressed schedules may be available, and are not guaranteed.
BHE GT&S is an interstate natural gas transmission and storage company headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, that became a standalone subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway Energy in November 2020. We operate more than 5,560 miles of gas transmission line and 756 Bcf of underground storage in the eastern U.S., along with gathering, processing and field services businesses. We operate in 12 states. BHE GT&S is an industry leader in liquefied natural gas solutions, through initiatives such as Pivotal LNG and our 25% operating stake in the Cove Point LNG facility in Lusby, Maryland. The energy we deliver supports major distribution utilities, power plants and manufacturing. Our premier storage operations provide dependable, flexible support for direct customers and neighboring pipelines. At our multiple interconnects – especially the liquid South Point hub – BHE GT&S services support both producers and consumers, ensuring competitive access to abundant energy.
- This role supports development and maintenance of company's consolidated budget/forecast as well as corporate strategy.
- Assists in development and monitoring of corporate strategy.
- Supports budget development and consolidation process to ensure timeliness and financial accuracy.
- Provides analysis and presentation preparation in support of investment decisions going before Investment Review Committee.
- Supports review, update and communication of cost of capital utilized for business and investment decisions.
- Assists in identification, screening and analysis of potential merger and acquisition opportunities.
- Supports efforts to respond to requests for special studies on competitors, industry trends, etc.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
The knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following:
Financial Analyst:
- 2-3+ years of experience in financial management and analysis; utility and/or relevant industry; accounting standards and practices.
- Skills: excellent leadership; organizational; interpersonal; verbal and written communication.
- Teaming, analytical and customer focus skills.
- Some expertise in consolidated financial planning and analysis; capital allocation; project financial analysis; M&A analysis; due diligence process; understanding of accounting, tax and financing principles.
- Knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
- Aptitude for continuous learning.
Senior Financial Analyst:
- 5+ years of experience in financial management and analysis; utility and/or relevant industry; accounting standards and practices.
- Excellent leadership; organizational; interpersonal; verbal and written communication.
- Teaming, analytical and customer focus skills.
- Requires ability to work under limited supervision and direction.
- Demonstrated expertise in consolidated financial planning and analysis; capital allocation; project financial analysis; M&A analysis; due diligence process; understanding of accounting, tax and financing principles.
- Extensive knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
- Aptitude for continuous learning.
Education Requirements
Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:
Bachelor
Preferred Disciplines: Accounting, Business, Finance
