The Firm-wide Regulatory Reporting & Analysis (FRRA) team is responsible for the design, implementation and execution of end-to-end processes supporting U.S. Regulatory Reporting including Consolidated, Capital, Standalone and CCAR/DFAST/ICAAP reporting (also included in scope, is International Regulatory Reporting for select locations in APAC/EMEA/UK/LATAM regions), Regulatory Reporting training and exam management. Additionally, FRRA drives broader strategic initiatives across external reporting including accountability, error and issue management, manual adjustments, variance analysis, quality assurance and the target U.S. Regulatory Reporting platform.
The Regulatory Capital Reporting & Analysis Team within FRRA is responsible for regulatory capital reporting under the Basel III Standardized and Advanced Approaches for JPMC and its subsidiaries. The team interacts closely with the Lines of Business (LOBs), RWA Production team, Capital Controllers, Corporate Planning & Analysis, technology and U.S. Regulatory Agencies to interpret and accurately report regulatory capital figures and provide detailed analysis on the results. In addition to on-going reporting, the team is also responsible for implementation of new disclosure requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
- This role will be integral to the Regulatory reporting of Capital and Risk Weighted Assets the Basel III Standardized and Advanced Approaches for the firm.
- The individual will be heavily involved in the reporting process and analyzing the risk-based capital results across external reports such as FFIEC101, FFIEC 102, FR Y-14A , FRY-9C.
- The candidate will be required to review and consolidate variance analysis (quarter vs. quarter, actual vs. forecast), support the intra-quarter RWA consolidation/control work and contribute to presentations to Senior Management, internal/external audit and Regulatory Agencies.
- The candidate will be responsible for the maintenance of and compliance with procedures, SOX controls and expected to possess a strong control mindset to help drive improvements by partnering with stakeholders across Finance.
- The individual will review issues and errors - performing cross report impact analysis and for those issues where applicable.
- The individual will research and analyze regulatory pronouncements, reporting requirements, present analysis of recommendations , respond to external/internal inquiries regarding financial data reported or filed.
- The individual will establish and manage relationships, partnerships and dialogue with a variety of stakeholders in a highly matrix organization
- Responding to ad-hoc analytical requests from senior management, audit, other functions, and regulatory agencies
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Bachelor's degree required, Finance, Accounting or related field preferred (8+ years relevant experience)
- Experienced Product knowledge with strong communications skills, written and verbal - interaction with LOBs, risk streams and senior managers
- Strong knowledge of Regulatory reporting and related requirements
- Ability to work on multiple priorities simultaneously with tight deadlines, demonstrating excellent organizational skills
- Strong analytical, reconciliation skills and sense of control and governance
- Strong PC skills in Excel & Power Point
- Detail oriented, strong organizational and time management skills
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Firm-wide Regulatory Reporting and specifically Basel Capital related experience preferred (but not mandatory)
