The Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for daily restaurant and bar operation, room service, pool bar, employee dining room and Lake beach bar when applicable. The F&B Manager is responsible for ensuring that Hotel guests receive fast, friendly and efficient service during their stay within the property. This position will be involved with assisting the Director of Food and Beverage and Marketing team with a successful marketing plan and promotion of restaurant. The F&B Manager will also maximize customer and employee satisfaction attaining consistency within the standards of Hotel General Manager and Director of F&B. The F&B Manager will analyze daily sales, trends and occupancy assisting with controlling costs and maximizing profits within all outlets in F&B. The Food & Beverage Manager will assist with employee hiring, coaching, counseling and separation of employment.

What you will have an opportunity to do:

  • Develops short term and long-term financial and operational plans for the food and beverage operation which support the overall objectives of the food and beverage operation as well as the hotel.
  • Works with the Director of F&B, sales and Marketing team to independently promote and market the restaurant/bar both internally and externally
  • Prepares the annual budget with Director of F&B, Director of Finance, General manager. Ongoing management of budget including food and beverage labor
  • Monitors the performance of the restaurant, room service, pool and beach areas when applicable and service bar through verification and analysis of customer satisfaction systems and financial and financial reports. Ability to initiate corrective actions when necessary
  • Supervises employees, does evaluation, assisting DOF&B with hiring, firing and development
  • Develops new programs which result in an increased level of customer satisfaction and operational excellence
  • Coordinates new and special menus with Director of F&B, Executive Chef and Hotel General Manager
  • Responsible for all supplies by formulating and approving purchase orders for all F&B outlets abiding by all in house steps of procedure.
  • Mangers food and beverage department in compliance with hotel policies and laws of the state, city and county
  • Establishes and maintains preventive maintenance programs, follows and implements safety and security programs to protect physical assets of restaurant and the employees
  • Must have strong mathematical competency to be able to analyze financial data and produce summary reports demonstrating results
  • Must have ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Attend daily and weekly meetings discussing current objectives and opportunities.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in managing an upscale restaurant and/or multiple outlets in F&B operations at either a hotel or with a restaurant group.

  • Flexible schedule; hours per week based on demands, must work holidays and weekends.
