Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the front restaurant operations.
  • Insure quality and accuracy of all aspects of guest service.
  • Execute all paperwork associated with Manager position and in conjunction with the hotel.
  • Learn and master all computer and administrative duties related to Manager position and in conjunction with the hotel.
  • Learn and be able to execute all Front of House positions effectively to be able teach, and assist staff members.
  • Manage front of house labor and monitor the 10 Steps of Service that is required by Johnny's Franchise.
  • Responsible for working closely with the Chef to make sure all purchases are complete.
  • Must maintain a professional and welcoming attitude while at work.
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness throughout the restaurant.
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and some holidays.
  • Manage all social media sites associated with Johnny's Italian Steakhouse.

Qualifications

CERTIFICATE/LICENSES

  • Servsafe or similar Food Manager Certificate may be required depending upon store location.

COMPUTER SKILLS

  • Excellent computer skills required. Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Email and experience is preferred.
  • Experience with Aloha, Hot Schedules and Open Table preferred

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Must be at least 18 years of age based upon state requirements to serve alcohol.
  • Must have had at least 2 years of restaurant manager experience required, fine dining experience is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of wine and wine service is required.
  • Basic knowledge and experience of inventory management.

LANGUAGE/MATH/REASONING ABILITY

  • Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated and organized
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and employees.
  • Basic math skill proficiency.

Core Competencies

  • Follow and ensure staff compliance to the rules of the dining room etiquette in all outlets.
  • Review group resumes as they are issued to determine guest availability and potential revenue generating opportunities.
  • Ensure that other departments are aware of any promotions, changes in hours or activities affecting service in the restaurant.
  • Ensure all servers receive the proper training to deliver and a memorable experience.
  • Assist with planning seasonal events.
  • Review reports generated by the P.O.S system and see how these reports can be used to improve or control management in the restaurant.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to stand for extended durations (8-12 hour shifts).
  • Ability to constantly lift up to 50 pounds without issue.
  • Ability to work in an environment that has exposures to cold, heat, and water
  • Able to lift, reach, bend and stoop
  • Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
