We are a plant-based food manufacturing company looking for a Food Scientist motivated to change how people eat and think of plant-based foods. Currently, we have one of the best plant-based chicken products selling through major food distribution companies but looking to expand our product line and scale up manufacturing.
Education and requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, agricultural science, or any related field
- Should have a clear understanding on how to formulate plant-based meat analogues
- Proven ability to work in a laboratory working in the Food Science field
- Knowledge and understanding of data science
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to travel overnight and work night and weekend shifts for special projects
Responsibilities:
- Developing new products from conceptualization to launch
- Innovating on existing products
- Work with manufacturing facility to ensure reliable and efficient scalability
- Coordinate independent laboratory testing
- Maintain and update the MRP system
- Summarize, analyze, and record all research data
- Communicate with relevant parties regarding safety and food quality.
- Adhere to GMP and all other safety regulations
- Updating all spec sheets, labels, and product information for sales team
- Arranging and shipping sales samples
- Build relationships with ingredient companies to stay on top of new technologies
- Work with ingredient companies and manufacturing facilities to help solve any supply chain issues with ingredients.

Pay: $60,870.84 - $98,908.87 per year
