Job Details: Recording English-language learning material scripts (words, single sentences, monologues and dialogues).

ISO male voice with British accent. Currently in need of one candidate for 10+ hour project, with possibility of further work.

Most scripts are read with a partner over Skype/Discord, with each VO artist alternately recording their own lines. No major editing required. Files should have a Noise Reduction applied, with any intermittent background noise silenced. Audio is then sent back via WeTransfer. A quick turnaround is essential.

This is ongoing work and would be great as a side-gig as the amount of recording varies greatly--some weeks you may have no work, others you may record up to 3 hrs a day. Scripts are sent out day-before or morning-of and need to be turned around within 24 hrs, so if that sounds like a nightmare then this probably isn't the gig for you. Ideally, you would be able to commit to a time slot (ie 9am-12pm, MWF or 11am-2pm, Weekdays etc) for recording. Pickups can be recorded solo, and should be turned around within 24-hrs.

Payment will be made based on the length of each finished audio file. Any long lengths of silence in the audio (longer than required by the reading) or excessive errors will be removed before calculating total time. Payment is made via PayPal at the beginning of each month.

Requirements:

- Be Prompt. It is important to be set-up, prepared with documents and ready to record on Skype/Discord at the agreed-upon time.

- Quick turnaround.

- Have own audio equipment and quiet space to record. This is essential. Audio MUST NOT have background noise.

- Ability to modulate speaking speed to match audio speed reference, while maintaining accurate dictation and "sounding natural."

- File format: 44.1khz, 16-bit, 128kbps, mono.

- Minimum processing required (ie noise reduction, removal of any background noise).

- Title audio files according to their corresponding script, along with _(your name). For example, if the document is titled “2019-12-12太原教研室 李莹 太原市,” save the recording as “2019-12-12太原教研室 李莹 太原市_(your name)”
