JOB TITLE: Front Desk Agent

Reports to: Front Office Manager

Job Description/Summary: Responsible for checking guests in and out, ensuring proper postings, securing credit, answering telephones, and attending to guests needs while providing the maximum levels of service to ensure complete guest satisfaction.

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests of the hotel.

2. Verify customer’s credit, and establish how the customer will pay for the accommodation.

3. Keep records of room availability and guests’ accounts using computerized property management system.

4. Post charges, compute bills, collect payments, and make change for guests.

5. Make and confirm reservations.

6. Answer all incoming calls within 3 rings

7. Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel services and information about the local area.

8. Listen for and respond to guest comments or complaints and communicate to other hotel departments.

9. Communicate with the Housekeeping department regarding room status/availability.

10. Keep a clean and tidy work space.

11. Maintain a daily log.

12. Balance shift work and cash drawers.

Additional Responsibilities:

· Any other duties assigned be a Supervisor
