FRONT DESK ASSOCIATE - Aloft Raleigh (PART TIME) Job at TBC Hotels
Description
The Front Desk Associate is responsible for providing efficient, personal, and genuine guest service of the highest caliber throughout the entire span of the guest cycle while following the hotel’s policies and procedures. The Front Desk Associate must be able to obtain the knowledge and skills to effectively use the hotel’s guest system to check-in guests, checkout guests, make reservations, and handle cash and credit transactions. Must be flexible with schedule to include working weekends and holidays.
JOB DUTIES:
- Greet and welcome all guests
- Answer guest inquiries about hotel services and facilities as well as be able to provide appropriate recommendations for local dining, entertainment, transportation, etc.
- Accept package deliveries, ensure logging and delivery of packages, mail and messages to guests and meeting rooms
- Be familiar with all in-house groups and VIPs
- Have knowledge of emergency procedures and assist as needed
- Be familiar with the outlets and able to assist in the absence of the outlet bartender or cashier
- Make coffee and sell items in the Grab and Go
- Use proper two-way radio etiquette at all times when communicating with other employees
- Fully comprehend and be able to operate all relevant aspects of the Front Desk computer system
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Perform other duties as requested by management
Job Type: Part Time for Friday, Saturday and Sundays AM or PM shifts available
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written with all employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service oriented manner
- Must be able to multi-tasks and problem solve guest concerns, informing the supervisor or MOD, if needed
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, to include wearing the proper uniform and nametag
- Promote a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols
- Maintain regular and timely attendance as required by the schedule, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel
- Attend all mandatory hotel meetings and trainings
- Flexible and long hours sometimes required to include working weekends and holidays
- Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
- Ability to stand during entire shift
