Job Summary:
Responsible for greeting front lobby visitors; maintaining professional work area; operating telephone system console and screening incoming telephone calls; and light to moderate level admin duties.
Essential Job Duties:
Opens and closes front office daily.
Represents the face of LKQ, presenting him/herself as professional, approachable, and helpful.
Greets incoming visitors, screens for entry, ensures proper registration and sign-out, contacts appropriate personnel for visitors.
Operates telephone system console to answer calls, screens calls (research, inform, assist, correct, redirect) and transfers appropriately.
Reports suspected or confirmed telephone system data errors, connection problems, and outages to VOIP department. Assists with troubleshooting if needed.
Provides varied light-to-moderate administrative assistance to include, but not limited to typing; Word format correction; file preparation; mail handling; spreadsheet preparation, data entry and manipulation; designing temporary signage; composing materials; researching; binding; collating; etc.
Assists with organizing and executing company functions, luncheons, corporate meetings, etc.
Sorts and distributes mail.
Assumes other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent preferred. Prior multi-line telephone experience preferred.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Must have good verbal communication skills; resilient nature and consistently cheerful attitude; detail oriented and attentive; and take pride in the accuracy and appearance of their work.
MACHINES, EQUIPMENT, AND SOFTWARE:
Multi-line telephone system; copier; fax machine; and Microsoft Office software to include intermediate to advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. (Previous experience with Publisher or creating artwork in other computer programs may be substituted for PowerPoint knowledge.)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must have the ability to work under conditions of frequent interruptions, and remain professional and calm even in difficult situations. Willing to be flexible regarding lunch and break times
