Essential Functions and Tasks:

1) Loads cart or flatbed, packs member orders into boxes or bags per member preference. Checks packaging for tampering. Follows all safety and security procedures. Follows proper departmental procedures for performance of duties. 50-80%

2) Greets members, helps members load order onto conveyor belt, determines member packing preferences, answers questions, relates information on special promotions, thanks members. Assists cashier by counting items left in cart, checking under items and positioning them for scanning. Provides prompt and courteous member service. Up to 25%

3) Runs for items such as merchandise, boxes, register supplies, and item numbers as requested by cashiers to keep lines moving smoothly. Up to 10%

4) Performs related tasks such as set up and closing duties for the department, returning products, collecting paperwork, stocking registers, and cleaning area. (Performed by one or two opening or closing employees.) 0-25%

5) Maintains cleanliness of register area and general front end area. Reports and cleans spills and trip hazards immediately. Up to 10%

6) Retrieves carts and flatbeds from parking area using a rope with clasping hook, pushing no more than 10 carts together. Keeps lot area free of debris and sweeps in front of building. Assists members loading orders into vehicle as requested when appropriate. (The frequency of cart collection shifts, and the percentage of the shift spent performing cart collection varies with location.) 0-100%

7) Regular and reliable attendance at your assigned location.
