Front Office Manager Job Description:
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the front desk and associated functions. Ensure adherence to established procedures for all related activities by all supervised functions and personnel.
- Provide strategic perspective to identify, evaluate, develop and drive guest service.
- Overseeing and participating in guest registration and check out.
- Managing, training, and scheduling the Front Office staff
- Carrying out activities (night audit review, setting up group billing, controlling and placing orders for supplies, cross-departmental communication) required for the smooth functioning of the Front Office.
- Acting as a liaison between General Manager and staff
Front Office Manager Qualifications:
- At least two years in a front desk/guest experience leadership role (Manager+).
- Able to accommodate varying schedules including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Light Speed PMS experience preferred.
- Can communicate well with guests.
- Must be able to provide outstanding customer service to internal and external guests.
- Must have knowledge of departmental operations.
- Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and cordial behavior.
- Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending and reaching, stooping, kneeling or crouching.
- Excellent communication, organization, written and guest relations skills.
- Strong organizational, project management and detail orientation skills, with the ability to multi-task in order to meet a variety of deadlines.
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
- Refined verbal and written communication skills.
