To fundraise in person for the charities focused on animal rights and/or environmental justice and collect high volumes of long-term donations for the assigned charity (monthly, quarterly, and annual donations) in New York, New York.

Who is Oak Tree Canvassing?

Oak Tree Canvassing (OTC) is a new, startup company where we work as a team to fundraise in-person for awesome causes that matter to us. We strive to change the world for the better!

OTC is in four cities (and growing!) and is partnered with the largest environmental and human rights charities including International Rescue Committee and Greenpeace.

What’s the pay and benefits?

This position is performance-based with a competitive and unique pay structure so you can achieve unlimited financial compensation and personal growth!

- Base pay: $18/hour

- Ability to make up to $325 daily in bonuses in addition to hourly pay

- No commission, no bonus, hourly pay rate goes up based on your performance throughout the week

What are the qualifications?

- Self-motivated with ambition to meet and exceed sales goals;

- Proven sales skills;

- Influencing and negotiating skills;

- Able to remain calm, think clearly, and work under pressure and meet deadlines;

- Honest, transparent, and mature in all communication, with a keen sense of humor.

- Ability to maintain a positive attitude and be flexible;

- Demonstrating a high level of emotional intelligence; able to manage own emotional state, be resilient in the face of rejection and/or adversity and disciplined in standards.

What other requirements and demands are there?

- You must have access to own transport (car or public transit)

- The role includes carrying equipment, walking to and from sites, and standing for long periods of time;

- You will be expected to work outside and exposed to extreme weather conditions;

- A full-time Fundraiser works 35 hours/week

- The working week is considered from Monday-Sunday 10-6pm, and you pick your days based on your schedule

- You can work the weekends for extra hours;

- You are required to collect a minimum of 2 new committed donors per 7 hour shift within agreed quality metrics.

Pay: $18.00 - $100.00 per hour
