General Trades Construction Foreman – Summary: C&C is a growing industrial and commercial company looking for a motivated leader to start immediately working on commercial projects.

Opening available for General Trades Construction Laborer in the Mt. Sterling, KY area. This is a traveling position with out-of-state travel.

Prefer previous construction training and knowledge but willing to train the right employee. Must be willing to learn.

General knowledge of concrete, drywall, framing, and doors.

Essential Job Functions:

• Concrete, drywall, framing, and doors.
• Safely and efficiently perform general construction functions with various types of hand tools and small power tools.
• Frame, form, pour, and finish slabs and footers.
• Framing and finish carpentry, drywall and painting.
• Maintain a clean and safe workplace and performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures and according to the standards of C&C Industrial standards, OSHA requirements, and client’s needs.
• Lay and renew floors, baseboards, and molding (a plus).
• Performs daily walkthroughs of project/work site to confirm availability and use of proper materials and tools; recognizes and promptly addresses issues so that work can continue on schedule.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Understanding of construction trades and extraction work.

· Superior organizational and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to analyze situations and identify ways to improve efficiency.

· Excellent interpersonal skills.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Thorough understanding of materials, methods, and tools used in projects.

· Ability to read blueprints and other reports outlining specifications a plus.

Physical Requirements:

· Must have physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina necessary to complete jobs in various areas.

· Must be able to lift and carry up to 80 pounds and push and/or pull 50-pound loads at a time.

· Must be able to work in all weather conditions.

· Must be able to stand and walk up to eight hours per day and climb multiple sets of stairs while carrying materials weighing between 40 and 60 pounds.

· Must be able to work some Saturdays and at night, when needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
