About the Role
We are searching for a Global GPV & Mutombo Program & Strategy Lead that will be focused on solving critical problems around the quality, efficiency and fairness of our photo verification and Mutombo processes by capturing insights, developing strategy, optimizing processes & partnering closely with product and operations teams to drive the development of the right solutions while expanding technology and governance methodology. The role requires strong business acuity, a deep dedication to process and governance, and an ability to work with senior partners across multiple subject areas (product, engineering, data science, operations, policy, communications, legal, marketing).
Your efforts will produce better outcomes for our customers and a faster, more accurate process for the business. This will be a leadership role with a heavy focus on stakeholder engagement, managing and executing on complex projects and programs, leading cross-functional collaboration, driving regional alignment, and improving processes through data analytics, organization, and teamwork.
This position can be based in most Uber hubs and is a hybrid role.
What You’ll Do
- Set the long term strategy, metrics and vision for GPV and Mutombo globally, clearly defining the short and long term goals, as well as the roadmap for execution. Challenge the status quo and work with partners to develop business cases to build solutions and products to solve identified issues.
- Gather and provide compelling data and insights about the key problems for the organization to build a comprehensive feedback loop to the business and product to improve customer experience and actioning accuracy at Uber.
- Identify operational and structural weaknesses and help improve existing or develop new processes to reduce risk while optimizing for funnel conversion. Partner with local teams and data science to identify improvement opportunities for existing features.
- Develop global standards and drive global harmonization across markets
- Influence operations program manager(s) and work closely with them to drive key initiatives
- Product work includes
- Reviewing PRDs
- Providing inputs to product on an ongoing basis on prioritization
- Supporting pilot implementations, XPs, and global expansion
- Own LT escalations / remediation and ensure senior business leaders are regularly informed of the program evolutions and performance and are engaged in conversations requiring risk analysis and decision making
- Partner across multiple areas of Uber’s business, including product, marketing, policy, operations, and legal, to develop solutions to address the unique challenges Uber faces
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years experience overall in Program Management, with experience in document processing operations or fraud / photo verification space
- Strong experience working partnering with senior leaders and managing processes
- Process and quality experience
- Skilled in adaptable communication and can create clear narratives using Data and anecdotal evidence
Preferred Qualifications
- Deep understanding of business operations and opposing pressures a business leader faces on a day to day basis
- 2+ years of experience in Risk space
- Experience working in the safety, risk or identity space

For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is $107,000 per year - $119,000 per year.
For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is $119,000 per year - $132,500 per year.
For Phoenix, AZ-based roles: The base salary range for this role is $95,000 per year - $106,000 per year.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is $119,000 per year - $132,500 per year.
