Position Summary:

The Grant and Data Manager is responsible for data collection and analysis, and other administration for grant applications, internal management reports, and grant compliance. The Manager works closely with the Executive Director, Operations Director, Grant Writer, Development team and Programming team to ensure scope of funding needs, continuity of data, and accuracy of reporting.

Description of Position:

  • Work with Programming team and grant writer to create the proper processes to capture and report data.
  • Create reports and submit on a timely basis with the highest level of accuracy. • Create purchasing process so that all expenditures for federal grants are recorded appropriately.
  • Review all grant-related reports and monitor work plans or scopes of work to ensure grantee progress of program objectives.
  • Review grantee budget reports to ensure the integrity of grant funds.
  • Prepare and submit payment requests and ensure timely processing of grant repayments. • Provide ongoing compliance monitoring, tracking, and management of program data. • Participate in grantee orientation and technical assistance workshops to grantees. • Maintain a system for collecting and tracking receipt of grant progress reports on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Coordinate the financial review, monitoring, and other supportive activities needed for prospective and funded partnerships.
  • Maintain copies of all invoices and payments to provide an audit trail.
  • Assist with the development of new policies and procedures related to grants management, and make recommendations that affect existing policies, procedures, and practices. • Enter, clean, and manage data, including maintaining electronic databases, and assisting with data analysis.
  • Participate in internal and external (partner) meetings and activities.
  • Assemble, manipulate and analyze data.
  • Identify relevant information to synthesize into summaries for presentation and disseminate this information to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare graphs and spreadsheets to portray results.
  • Contribute to written reports describing results.
  • Compile, read, and summarize existing literature to frame research and inform programming. • Collaborate with and support team members in researching and providing the data to support their programming.
  • Program Management Module management:
  • Ensure entries are complete/capturing all activities
  • Follow up on team buy-in and usage
  • Train new hires on Salesforce usage and expectations (with help from Ops Dir.)
  • Analyze data on emerging public policy issues and trends, and produce CORE’s policy publications including issue briefs, white papers, conference papers, presentations, and testimony, using primary and secondary research sources.
  • Create surveys to assess the multiple areas of CORE’s Programming.
  • Demonstrate professional conduct and seek out professional development opportunities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

Preferred Qualifications and Qualities:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, public policy, or other closely related field.
  • Experience in Federal and State Grants Management.
  • Three (3) years of working with data and analyzing data and/or experience relevant.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products and experienced in using grant research databases.
  • Experience with residents in high-poverty neighborhoods.
  • Working knowledge of education and social services best practices, and local landscape.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.
