Job Title: Graphic Artist/Prepress Technician - OH Miamisburg Facility

Prepress Operator is responsible for modifying artwork in Adobe Illustrator to be printed using screen, flexographic or digital printing equipment. Utilizes various computer applications as needed to duplicate customer art and meet required manufacturing specifications. Completes assignments from initial concept through preparation of print ready production art where applicable.

Specific Duties:

• Apply proper prepress modifications to artwork to meet required manufacturing specifications upon approval of artwork by customer
• Modify and prepare digital art for Flexographic, Screen or Digital printing
• Special project artwork as necessary

Computer Skills:

• Strong Mac skills

· Proficient with the latest Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop

· Knowledge of Esko DeskPack a plus

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Associates Degree in Graphic Design, Computer Graphics, related field or equivalent experience
• Demonstrated graphic design
• Experience with Adobe Illustrator software, Adobe Photoshop
• Working knowledge of spot and four color process printing
• Proven ability to handle detailed projects
• Able to prioritize multiple projects, and ability to work under deadlines
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of math as it relates to artwork and or its placement, including decimals and fractions and blueprint reading
• Ability to translate and apply written instruction in artwork creation and or alteration
• Consistent production of neat, accurate work with high attention to detail
• Demonstrated high level of dependability, initiative, and responsibility
• Adaptable and willing to work on special project artwork as necessary
