The SAN MATEO COUNTY FAIR is seeking a Guest Services staff members to work in a fun and friendly environment during the San Mateo County Fair.

This is a seasonal position from approximately May 29 through June 11.

Must have an open schedule to be available day and/or evenings and be available to work on the weekends of June 3-4 and June 10-11.

Pay is $20.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include but are not limited to the following:

• Greet Fair guests and provide general Fair information.
• Resolve guest complaints.
• Assist with the rental of strollers and wheelchairs.
• Assist with the opening and closing of booths and the proper storage of guest services equipment.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Punctuality is a must as this is time sensitive position.
• Excellent customer service skills and a strong ability to interact with all in a professional, helpful, courteous and tactful manner.
• Excellent oral communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with the public.
• Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with management, co-workers, clients and customers using principles of good customer service.
• Willingness to be flexible and work with the changing work load, and sudden shifts in priorities without losing focus on the “big picture”.
• Requires a willingness to take on new responsibilities and challenges as well as being open to change and to considerable variety in the workplace.
• Requires being responsible, reliable, and dependable to fulfill job obligations.
• Available to work days, evenings and weekends.
