Hatchery Poult Service Operator, Barron, WI Job at Jennie-O Turkey Store
Job Responsibilities
1. Service day old turkey poults while maintaining proficiency for accuracy and speed
2. Ability to de beak, toe clipping and injecting day old poults
3. Be consistent with overall hatchery approach to quality and least cost production
4. Follow all predetermined scheduled rotations
5. Understand and meet the Hatchery/Breeder sanitation/isolation policies and procedures
6. Perform all required equipment and work area clean up
7. Ability to accept other responsibilities and perform other duties as requested
8. *** Occasional work on Saturdays or Holidays ***
9. *** 30-40 hours per week, start 5:00 a.m. until finished, 3-4 p.m.

Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to work with day old poults and to learn how to sex day old poults
- Basic math skills
- Ability to understand and meet the sanitation/isolation policies and procedures
- No performance work actions in the last 6 months
- No attendance work actions in the last 6 months
- PHYSICAL: No restrictions grasping, pinching repeatedly with both hands
- No restrictions standing or sitting for extended periods
- Hand coordination to rotate wrists & manipulate poults with fingers & thumbs of both hands
- No restrictions lifting 25 pounds from floor to shoulder height
- No restrictions working in moderately dusty environment continuously
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous poultry handling experience
- Previous work experience in a hatchery or breeder farm
