Hazelwood, OR: Instructional Assistant Job at Soliant
Calling on applicants in the Hazelwood area of Portland, OR! Soliant is working with a local school district, and is seeking Instructional Assistants for Spring semester.
Scope of duties:
- Support students aged between 3 to 21 with classroom activities, as well as time outside the class rooms
- Examples of student supervision or assistance include:
- Supervision of students in the classroom
- Assisting teachers with lessons and classroom activities
- Ensuring that children or students do not engage in behaviors that endanger themselves and people around them
- Supporting students in their daily school activities, such as feeding, toileting, and play
- Students may also need some assistance with moving around the campus
Details of the assignment as follows:
- Contracted weekly hours: 30-35 hours a week
- Candidates do not work over school breaks, or on non-student days
- Spring semester assignment (Start ASAP, end date will be the end of the school year)
We seek candidates who:
- Have an excellent attendance record
- Work well under the supervision of school staff
- Demonstrate professionalism in their work environments
- Communicate well with students, parents, and their co-workers
Requirements:
- Associate's Degree in a field related to Education, or Early Childhood Education OR
- Completion of the ACT WorkKeys Test
- Active Drivers License
- Ability to pass a background check
