Head of Monetization

Job Summary:

Together Labs is seeking an experienced Monetization Leader to drive the monetization efforts for the online virtual world and social networking platform, IMVU. As the Head of Monetization, you will be responsible for leading, developing and executing monetization strategies to drive revenue growth and profitability across all IMVU platforms. You will develop and define the Monetization roadmap, while working hands-on with the Monetization team to implement high volume, multi-platform production. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing LiveOps, Growth, Product, Design, Data and Community to develop and implement effective monetization strategies based on company objectives. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the LiveOps ecosystem, strong strategic & analytical skills, a bias toward action, a passion for creatively tackling challenges, and a track record of successfully driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  Develop and execute monetization strategies to drive revenue growth and profitability.

• Partner with Marketing LiveOps to develop a cohesive LiveOps & Monetization roadmap aligned with delivering customer value.

• Drive day-to-day production and implementation of Monetization initiatives on desktop and mobile platforms.

• Collaborate with Marketing LiveOps, Growth, Product, Design, Data and Community teams to coordinate & implement effective monetization strategies.

• Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for revenue growth.

• Manage and optimize existing revenue streams including sales, promotions, subscriptions, and premium products.

• Identify and evaluate new revenue opportunities and other monetization strategies.

• Devise and run A/B tests to directly and indirectly drive KPI improvements.

• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to monetization, including revenue, user engagement, and retention.

• Stay up-to-date with IMVU customer behavior, potential customers, latest trends and developments in the virtual world and social ecosystem and identify opportunities to leverage them for revenue growth.

• Lead and develop a team of direct reports and provide mentorship, guidance, and support as needed.

• Prepare internal & external communication updates to stakeholders on the progress of business operation milestones.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• 
  7+ years of Monetization, Revenue, LiveOps, or E-Commerce experience in profitable, high-traffic consumer Internet services preferably involving gaming, the metaverse, social apps or virtual worlds

• Proven track record of developing and executing successful monetization strategies and driving revenue in a digital environment.

• Developed and managed high-performance teams of at least 4 or more in a rapid growth environment

• Ability to successfully manage and motivate people to meet committed milestones and deadlines, setting clear direction and managing to high expectations.

• Must have strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis tools such as Excel and Tableau, with the ability to translate insights and deliver results

• Excellent spoken and written communication as well as receptive listening skills, with ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion to a range of audiences

• Ability to move fluidly between high-level strategic thinking and take-charge management of day-to-day details; Equally comfortable with seeing the “big picture” and meticulously thinking through every interaction requirement of complex projects.

• Comfort with ambiguity and ability to proactively seek out solutions to complex problems and resource constraints.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

• Highly empathetic with ability to collaborate across a diverse group of stakeholders to refine concepts and identify highest value targets.

• A curious and creative mind able to think out of the box and challenge the status quo.

• Ideally has experience with subscription services.

• BA/BS or equivalent experience required. MBA or advanced degree preferred, but not required.

The base salary range for this position is $129,000 - $204,000 annually. Total compensation will be determined based on several factors, including a candidate’s experience, qualifications, competencies, and location. At Together Labs, base pay is part of a larger design. We intentionally invest in 6 elements: base pay, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, retirement, health, and wellness.
