JPMC is looking for a Head of Product Operations, to join the broader Data & Analytics organization, reporting to the Head of Product Portfolio Management - this is a staff function organizing the product portfolio as we modernize our data and platforms to support better data analysis, faster, in the cloud.
This individual will lead a team that organize, structure and communicate the plans, strategy, and progress across our data products; as we undertake cross-product initiatives we need someone highly structured to organize and communicate across those products and their stakeholders.
This person will setup and own, from the ground up, our interaction with our users. As we grow, we want someone highly structured to setup systems and processes that help us understand our users better. Once we identify any unmet needs this person would be a strong advocate for our users and partner with existing product teams to prioritize these user needs and support the Head of Product Portfolio Management in influencing senior stakeholders across the bank in jointly championing for our users. This person would be a critical catalyst for our culture change from focusing on applications to focusing on our users and their needs. JPMC has unique data assets and we wish to empower analysts to derive value from the advanced technologies and flexibility of the cloud services.
Job Responsibilities
- Understand our users through live interactions, surveys, data analysis or any other means necessary; Advocate for the user needs during interactions with senior stakeholders, technology leaders as well as with our product mangers
- Share our roadmaps and our initiatives with our users regularly through various mediums such as internal blogs, newsletters and live conversations; Lead and coordinate training of our users on the products in our portfolio
- Supporting the transformation from projects to durable products with empowered teams, with problems to solve, instead of features to build. Ensuring planning and coordination occurs within the context of a product organization
- Supporting the Head of Strategy and Head of Product Portfolio Management in influencing senior stakeholders in technology and business.
- Creating the content to support communication of the products and their plans to users and stakeholders
- Support a strong culture of continuous innovation, rapid iteration, and collaboration across designers, engineers, and product managers. Both cloud, data, and our technology will evolve during the course of this initiative.
- Relentlessly focus on ways to increase speed to cloud for our users, product teams, and stakeholders; Present findings and recommendations for action to senior leaders of the company, and support the contributors to do the same for their work
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of full-time professional work experience
- 5+ years of experience at BCG, Bain, or McKinsey
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics; MBA from a top-tier institution preferred
- Experienced leader of cross product initiatives in complex environments, alternatively a program management background
- Experience of planning and communication within a Data or Technology business function
- Expert in stakeholder management; reporting complex initiatives and briefing executives; Planning and resource management skills
- Strong technology background with the communication skills to articulate technical matters to a broader audience
