Position Overview

The Manager of Project Management develops and directs project management operations and strategic planning to meet organizational goals. Provides overall strategic governance for projects by establishing standards, processes, and tools for effective project delivery. The Manager of Project Management will develop methodologies to set productivity and quality targets and assess project results. Responds to escalate project issues that may impede delivery and coordinate solutions. In addition, the Manager of Project Management also monitors and analyzes project metrics to identify weaknesses or problems and propose operational improvements and cost savings for future projects.

This high visibility position ultimately drives company revenue and customer satisfaction. In addition, the Manager of Project Management will interface with nearly every part of the company daily, which can serve as a great training ground with pathways to positions with greater responsibility within our company.

Work Location & Hours

  • Command Center located at Ulrich Headquarters in downtown Fort Worth, TX
  • This is not a remote working position
  • Workdays are Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-6:00 pm. Some Saturdays to support your team

Primary Job Roles

  • Lead a project manager and support staff team to meet customer expectations and drive schedules.
  • Scheduling routes to make the most efficient use of company resources avoiding the domino effect.
  • Set project timelines, goals, and budgets.
  • Monitor project progress and make adjustments as needed to keep projects on track.
  • Responsible for scheduling service calls and move requests.
  • Finalize and confirm orders and payment schedules with customers on the same day next day basis from the Designer close; preference is the warm handoff from the Designer.
  • Determine permitting/HOA requirements and create a plan for getting the permit/HOA approval.
  • Ensure that your team schedules the install date according to lead time standards and get the customer's confirmation.
  • Work with the factory to ensure the installation schedule is achieved.
  • Manage all change orders with customers, factory, and accounting.
  • Responsible for collecting all payments according to the schedule, only allowing the next step in the process to proceed if the payment schedule is met.
  • Communicate directly with the customer on the status of their project via phone call, email, and text message throughout the duration of the project from sale to installation.
  • Maintain the shed and cabin CRM database on the status of each order.
  • Ensure 5-star customer service by delivering the "Ulrich Experience" by interacting with team members and management as necessary.
  • Provide feedback, advice, project updates, and encouragement to project managers.
  • Communicate with clients to ensure their satisfaction and address any concerns they may have.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure projects are aligned with overall company goals.
  • Develop and maintain project management processes and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, project management or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Project Management experience
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of project management software and tools.
  • PMP Certification is a Plus

  • Annualized base pay can range from $90-110k, depending on experience.
