Schedule: FT 75hrs/pp; Day Shift 6:00am-2:00pm

Weekend rotation: Every other weekend

Holiday rotation: Every other holiday

Position Summary:

To clean assigned resident rooms and to work as a member of the cleaning team to assist in keeping the public areas neat and clean. Willing to perform routine, repetitive tasks on a continuous basis as directed, observing proper cleaning and disinfecting techniques.

Position Responsibilities:

• Cleans bedroom-daily duties include vacuuming floor, emptying wastebaskets, changing linen and making bed and dusting furniture..
• Cleans bathroom-daily duties include mopping the floor, scrubbing the toilet, tub, basin, and counter; replacing paper towels, soap, toilet paper, and other toiletries as required.
• Cleans kitchenette-daily duties include cleaning counter top, replacing coffee supplies, checking and cleaning refrigerator and microwave if required.
• Inspects the room to see if any repairs are required or if carpet, blankets, bedspreads, or draperies need to be cleaned or laundered.
• Makes each resident room as neat as possible without disturbing residents' personal property.
• Performs assigned tasks, including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, washing surfaces like counters, emptying trash, and other duties as necessary to assist in cleaning lobby, halls, and meeting rooms.
• Assembles materials and supplies from the supply room and transports them to work area.
• Cleans assigned areas by washing furnishings, equipment and mopping floors with special cleaning solutions and disinfectants to prevent the spread of disease.
• Uses appropriate cloths and disinfectants for window sills, blinds, floors, furniture and equipment.
• Requests help in moving heavy furniture and in turning mattresses. Reports any mechanical failures or negative conditions observed in the assigned area.
• Washes walls with appropriate cleaning solutions and products.
• Gathers and disposes of trash, washes waste baskets as needed and relines with plastic bags.
• May be asked to wash outside windows.
• Performs other related work as required.
