The Servitje Family, a distinguished family residing in Easton, Pennsylvania, seeks to hire an experienced, discreet, and trustworthy professional Family Housekeeper for a flexible schedule of 15-20 hours per week, working preferably 3-4 days during the week with the potential for some weekend work.

We are seeking to hire a professional Housekeeper to help maintain a 9 bedroom, 6 bath (9,000 sq ft) mansion. The ideal candidate is trustworthy, has the highest ethical standards, is diligent and responsible, has previous experience in a cleaning-related position, and will be ready to learn new tasks and responsibilities as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform professional housekeeping services, including daily cleaning activities as well as routinely performed deep cleaning tasks
• Clean, disinfect, organize and declutter all assigned areas (i.e., kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms, living areas, storage areas, and other rooms)
• Clean & disinfect all light switch plates, door knobs, remote controls, toilet handles, etc. (i.e., frequently touched surfaces)
• Polish stainless steel appliances and surfaces
• Polish and treat all wood and leather surfaces
• Polish brass and shine china as needed
• Clean and freshen upholstery, pillows, & mattresses (flip/rotate mattresses annually)
• Clean, disinfect, and degrease (as needed) appliances, trash cans, etc.
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, and wax floors as appropriate
• Clean, dust, and polish baseboards, crown molding, stairwells, etc.
• Clean windowsills, blinds, curtains, windows, and window screens as appropriate
• Dust all surfaces, including pictures, art, books, knickknacks, lights, fixtures, ceiling fans, vents, lamps, etc.
• Clean, disinfect, organize, and declutter all closets and storage areas
• Pre-treat, wash, dry, fold/hang, iron (if applicable), and store all laundry
• Empty and takeout trash as needed
• Maintain inventory of supplies (cleaning or other general household supplies like toilet paper)
• Provide pet care and cleaning for four (4) indoor cats and one (1) indoor dog (male, Whippet)
• Accept deliveries and packages on behalf of the homeowners
• Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

• Must have 3-5 years of hands-on cleaning experience working in a high-level private home or luxury hotel
• Must have a minimum of 3 professional references (names and phone numbers to be provided)
• Must have a personal and reliable source of transportation
• Must be willing to undergo and successfully pass a pre-employment and annual background check
• Must be comfortable caring for pets, cleaning up accidents, as well as cleaning litterboxes and dog bed

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to climb stairs regularly (4-5 flights at a time, carrying supplies/equipment if needed)
• Routinely stand, squat, kneel, bend, reach, crouch, crawl, climb, etc., for extended periods of time
• Capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 30 pounds unassisted

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour
