Human Resources Admin - Employee Engagement & Performance Management
Position: Full Time / Exempt

This HR Admin – Employee Engagement & Training handles a range of critical matters from crafting employee experiences during pre-employment, hiring and orientation, retention, performance management, engagement through to launching initiatives to enhance inclusion, equity, diversity and acceptance that support the amazing people of Scandinavian Designs and Dania Furniture. These projects and tasks are performed in a team environment that require collaboration, teamwork and helping other in all departments, showrooms, warehouses, outlets, and distribution centers across the USA for +50 working locations for our
+700 and growing employees. This role is at our Boise, ID headquarters and this a non-remote position.
What You Will Do
- Act as the key change agent that will lead to successful implementation of new projects, policies, performance management initiatives and programs across the company.
- Pre-employment, Employee Experience and Performance Management
- Collaborate with HR, Training, IT, Operations, onsite Managers and other cross-functional stakeholders to identify and execute on opportunities to improve and measure the effectiveness, inclusiveness, and experience of the onboarding program. Have data and ideas to enhance the process as well.
- Roll out yearly performance evaluation process companywide with the operators and using our Performance Management Module within our HRIS (PayCor).
- Work closely with the Training team and lead performance management initiatives including S.M.A.R.T Goals and employee performance evaluations.
- Performance management: analyze results and report common trends; track improvements; conduct exit interviews.
- Assist with new swag selection with products that resonate with a diverse group of people in a variety of working styles and locations.
- Support pre-employment onboarding matters and new hire process if needed.
- Employee Engagement
- Identify the Key Performance Indicators needed to understand engagement, experience, and culture, ensuring connection to passively generated data and other key people metrics such as talent attraction, retention, and turnover.
- Diversity Equity and Inclusion
- Develop and support employee DEI programs and work to help create a better work environment for all staff and while enhancing inclusivity.
- Launch, lead and facilitate DEI Ambassador program and create an inclusive team of employees from all levels of the business.
- Lead, plan, execute and host inclusive workplace initiatives, development and hiring practices and support companywide DEI education, research, and outreach.
- Act as a consultant to underrepresented groups and make sure all voices are heard.
- Perform other duties or special projects when assigned.
Who You Are
- Experience rolling out companywide initiatives including employee engagement projects, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion projects from start to finish for a national wide company.
- Able to create solutions to employee engagement and retention for all staff levels.
- Strong knowledge of HR related laws and regulations and innovative ideas for enhancing our team.
- Experience monitoring and facilitating performance review programs.
- Very strong writing and communication skills for engaging with employees.
- Organized interpersonal skills with a proven ability to interface effectively to all levels with attention to detail.
- PHR or SHRM-CP (preferred).
- This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
- Prolonged sitting, standing, moderate reaching and occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Occasional overtime and weekend work and travel to other locations.
- Our positions require successfully completing the pre-employment background check and signing a nondisclosure agreement.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business Management, Human Resources, or a related field with 3+ years of professional Human Resources experience.
