Job Description
The Human Resource Specialist performs the HR transactional and processing functions in a staff position within the Payroll and HR Employee Service Center (ESC). The HR functions include but are not limited to, onboarding, record administration, employment verification
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accurately maintain employee records including on-boarding data, employment adjustments and exit data for multi-location entities.
- Tasked with problem analysis and resolution as it pertains to the areas of job responsibility
- Provides prompt, courteous and accurate customer support as to pertains to employment verification and related inquires for multi-location entities; includes strictly adhering to policies of the ESC in regard to what information is communicated
- Provides prompt, courteous and accurate customer support in resolution of human resource
transactions as trained to do. - Maintains confidentiality as it pertains to all Human Resource and Payroll information
- Adheres to the Code of Conduct and Mission and Value statement of the company
- Participates in provided training programs as applicable
- Performs responsibilities that contribute towards meeting or exceeding team and center goals
- Promptly escalate appropriate issues to team lead, supervisor and/or manager
- Provide suggestions and/or recommendations for changes to applicable processes or tools as
recognized from functioning in the role on a daily basis.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Minimum 1 year HRIS experience; UltiPro, preferred
- Minimum 2 years HR work experience, shared service center or similar environment required
- Strong communication, organizational and customer service skills required
- Proven ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment while maintaining good relationships with co-workers and supervisors.
Preferred
- Experience in HR function for multi-state and/or multiple facilities preferred
HR or payroll experience in a healthcare field, a plus - Experience with UltiPro strongly preferred
