Human Resources Associate

This role can be based in Global Atlantic's Hartford, CT, Des Moines, IA or New York, NY office.

At Global Atlantic, the role of Human Resources Associate is an integral part of the business and human resources team. The HR Associate will work report to the VP, Head of Human Resources Business Partners and work closely with the HRBP's to support people activities and initiatives to improve business performance, prepare the talent of the future, and further the culture of Global Atlantic. As a hands-on expert, they will provide process and project support, metrics, employee relations, and change leadership to the business. Building partnerships across the HR function, the HR Associate will proactively share information and collaborate with other HR Team Members in the HR Centers of Excellence to create efficient, consistent, and scalable solutions. Using HR metrics, the HR Associate will identify trends and recommend options to improve performance, retention, and employee engagement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide thoughts and process design on HR solutions and initiatives for HR programs, processes, and projects. Ensure process repeatability and scalability. May lead or participate in special and/or cross-functional project teams related to Company and/or Human Resources initiatives.
  • Recommend, refine, and use key scorecards and metrics to influence and drive decisions and actions for the business. Proactively partner across Global Atlantic's HR team to make recommendations for programs and other enhancements.
  • Advise and strategize with leaders on compensation, recognition, goals and performance management, and employee relations. Ensure clear and effective linkage between goal setting, performance measurement and recognition/ reward.
  • Work closely with our Talent team to implement strong employee communications and engagement to promote the GA culture of continuous growth and development.
  • Provide guidance and insight into talent needs and recruitment challenges, assist with job design and compensation benchmarking. Partner with hiring managers to ensure proper department on-boarding and training plans are developed.
  • Ad hoc projects as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience with prior HR Generalist or HR Business Partner experience
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills. Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills are imperative to moving the business forward.
  • Ability work both independently and as an active member of both business and HR teams, both as an advisor and contributor.
  • Strong discretion in dealing with highly confidential and sensitive information exhibited at all times.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCES:

  • Professional designation in HR a plus
  • A combination of HR experience in the following areas: performance management, process improvement, diversity and inclusion, business consulting, compensation and rewards, recognition programs, employee engagement, coaching and development, Talent management, conflict resolution, talent acquisition, and employee relations. Metrics and analytics, organizational design, and succession planning desired.
  • Ability to articulate ideas and recommendations.
  • Intellectually curious.
  • Exceptional listening skills and ability to relate to, influence, consult with and coach all levels in the organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; high quality document preparation and presentation skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Some travel required.

Global Atlantic's base salary range is determined through an analysis of similar positions in the external labor market. The annual base salary range provided in this posting for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. Base pay is just one component of Global Atlantic's total compensation package for employees and at times we hire outside the boundaries of the salary range. Other rewards may include annual cash bonuses, long-term incentives (equity), generous benefits (including immediate vesting on employee contributions to a 401(k), as well as a company match on your contributions), and sales incentives. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Compensation for our more senior positions have a larger component of short-term cash bonus and long-term incentives. The base salary range for this role is $73,000 to $141,000.
