Job Summary:

The human resources generalist will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities, and will help with important functions such as staffing, training and development, and compensation and benefits.

Essential Job Functions:
Human Resources:

· Responsible for employee relations - works with company leaders on all employee issues.

· Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures that provide improvement in efficiency of HR.

· Oversees compliance for applicable labor laws.

· Works with Human Resources attorney to resolve conflicts when they occur.

· Oversees record keeping / employee files.

· Ensures compliance on benefits.

· Rolls out/implements new benefits/changes.

· COBRA administration.

· Participates in staff meetings and attends seminars and training sessions as needed.

· Meeting minutes for owners/leadership meetings.

· Participates in developing HR Goals and Objectives

· Maintains organization charts and employee directory.

· Management of all aspects of Workers Compensation claims.

· Conducts workplace investigations to determine validity of complaints, alleged misconduct, reports, presents findings to appropriate superiors.

· Ensures a safe work environment.

Staffing:

· Responsible for all recruitment support and onboarding of candidates (drafts/writes/posts advertisements; works with management/director of ops to interview, reference checks, extends offers, conducts new-employee orientations; conducts exit interviews)

· Maintaining accurate personnel records.

· New hire paperwork is accurate and completed in a timely fashion.

· Employees are onboarded for benefits when eligible.

· Coordinates / assists management / ownership in terminations when necessary.

· Ensures businesses are staffed / equipped for growth.

Administration:

· Ensures entity registrations / business licenses are updated for all entities.

· Trains management on best practices RE: payroll / hiring / scheduling.

· Ensures that performance evaluations are completed for all employees.

· Ensures invoices/payments are accurate/timely.

Essential Requirements and Experience:

· Minimum 2 years related HR experience.

· Bachelor’s degree in business or human Resources preferred. Experience in lieu of education considered.

· Restaurant experience – preferred.

· Broad knowledge of employee relations, recruitment, talent management, training, and development.

· Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
