Position Summary:
Under supervision of the Human Resources & Organizational Development Director, the Human Resources Manager will create an engaging employee-centric lifecycle for current and future talent by designing and shaping Lakeland Care, Inc.’s (LCI) employee experience strategy to advance the mission, values, expectations, and goals of LCI. This role will collaborate across a diverse set of stakeholders and be responsible for the strategic outcomes of employee engagement, performance development, DEI&B, recognition, total rewards, wellness, and compensation in support of employee retention and talent attraction.
Position will provide direct support to the Human Resources Business Partner(s), Payroll & Compensation Specialist, and Total Rewards & Leave Specialist.
Responsibilities & Competencies:
- Develop and deliver transformational projects and initiatives that will increase engagement and support LCI’s employee experience strategy.
- Support and advance LCI’s competency and performance models.
- Approach and apply traditional HR concepts with creativity that produces recommendations and decisions that are transformative to LCI’s culture and values, leveraging the input of diverse stakeholders along the way.
- Champion the employee life cycle process, ensuring all stages are meaningful, provide clarity, and connection as to how their role supports the overall mission and vision to ensure an engaging experience.
- Produce high quality results with complex workloads and competing demands.
- Support change management efforts by leading and influencing change plans and communications as it relates to business strategy changes within HR.
- Assist with evaluating market-competitive compensation and benefit programs that attract, retain, and engage talent and further LCI’s employer brand.
- Develop, recommend, and implement changes in administration of employee benefits and strategy planning for benefit plans.
- Ensure administrative compliance with federal and regulatory requirements relative to employee benefit and compensation plans.
- Evaluate and manage relationships with vendors, consultants, and third-party administrators to ensure efficient benefit plan administration. Partner with vendors to take advantage of programs geared toward employee wellness.
- Align cultural priorities within the organization to support diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging efforts.
- Foster a team energy which empowers organizational coaching to guide leaders in a strength-based, emotionally centered, service-minded approach to excellence.
- Complete and submit annual Affirmative Action Plan report. Investigate and represent LCI with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and Wisconsin Equal Rights Division (ERD) charges, as well as complaints or formal charges regarding wage and hour, discrimination, harassment, safety, workers’ compensation, or other employment-related matters. Remain aware of recent trends in employment law and state and federal regulations to remain responsive to a changing environment.

Requirements:- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, other related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience (includes knowledge, skills, and abilities).
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Human Resources or related area.
- Minimum of two (2) years supervisory/leadership experience required.
- HR change agent who thrives in ambiguity, is flexible, and adaptable to change in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid understanding of HR software and strong familiarity of MS Office.
- Strong influencing skills; able to influence without formal authority at all levels.
- Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Current driver’s license, acceptable driving record and proof of adequate insurance required.
