  • Maple Grove headquarters and predominantly metro area projects; some travel within Metro area is required.

Come join the C. S. McCrossan team. We act as General Contractor for major single-season and multi-year projects (e.g., I-94 reconstruction between Maple Grove and Rogers, extending Hwy 610 west of Hwy 169) and participating as a joint venture partner in projects, including the I-494/Hwy 169 Interchange and the Green Line Southwest Light Rail Project. We have an immediate opening for a Human Resources Workforce Specialist to join the Company's human resources team. This position is located in Maple Grove, MN.

Qualifications and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, or related field with minimum of 3 years work experience
  • Knowledge of EEO/affirmative action compliance-related laws and regulations
  • Experience in working with MNDOT, Met Council, or other Federal Contractors is preferred
  • Must be highly organized and able to work independently with little direction
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Be able to work with sensitive information while maintaining strict confidentiality
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record

Responsibilities:

EEO/AA

  • This position stays abreast of federal & state regulations and communicates/delivers appropriate EEO/AA training and policies
  • Monitors company compliance and makes recommendations or takes appropriate action as necessary
  • Prepares and submits EEO reporting for Company and projects
  • Manages compliance related audits in conjunction with HR Leader
  • Creates AA plans and annual compliance reporting
  • Prepares project specific compliance reporting, monthly and annually
  • Partners with union halls in finding diverse applicants for good faith efforts
  • Partners with Community Based Organizations (CBO) and attends career day fairs, job fairs, etc.
  • Works directly and cultivate relationships with community sources for minority and women employment and on-the-job training referrals

DBE (Disadvantaged Business Enterprise)

  • Coordinates the efforts of C.S. McCrossan staff to effectively carry out the DBE programs
  • Provides representation at pre-bid, pre-award, and pre-construction meetings
  • Prepares and submits reports related to the DBE programs as required
  • Monitors compliance with the DBE programs and investigates complaints related to the DBE programs, initiating action as required
  • Assists C.S. McCrossan in implementing, tracking and refining the DBE Program and progress towards participation goals
  • Manages the project s DBE Outreach Schedule
  • Monitor subcontractor DBE reporting compliance
  • Assist with producing internal DBE compliance training and community outreach events
  • Work with various members of the project team to communicate DBE processes, procedures, and compliance
  • Maintain DBE subcontractor/supplier database (SmartBid)
  • Assist with DBE compliance on ongoing projects as needed
