The Office of the Kansas Attorney General (OAG), is seeking a Human Trafficking (HT) Education and Outreach Coordinator who is passionate about promoting awareness of human trafficking and committed to building stakeholder capacity and leadership in identifying human trafficking victims and connecting them to services. Position Summary & Responsibilities
This position is responsible for strengthen statewide anti-trafficking efforts by coordinating a multidisciplinary response between government, non-government, and community stakeholders. This is achieved through the work of the Human Trafficking Advisory Board (HTAB) and its various subcommittees composed of law enforcement personnel, prosecutors, court personnel, advocates, victims of human trafficking and other pertinent parties who have expertise in this field.
The successful candidate will focus on improving services and outcomes for victims and survivors, prevention efforts, and policy development by performing these duties:
- Provide training and capacity building to provide support to the network of programs statewide on all issues related to human trafficking
- Develop and disseminate informational materials and public awareness campaigns
- Serve as the chair of the HTAB and participate on its various subcommittees
- Direct statewide and national human trafficking initiatives
- Identify gaps, needs, and barriers with the goal of strengthening collaboration and resource sharing across service providers, law enforcement, and prosecutors.

Travel: Some travel within the state of Kansas for trainings, meetings, and other human trafficking outreach-related activities will be required. Occasional out-of-state travel for training may be required.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, public policy, public affairs, criminal justice, public health, human/social services or closely related field preferred, but may be substituted with an Associate’s Degree and a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience
Licensing & Certification
- A valid driver’s license
Minimum Qualifications
- Professional program management and/or coordination experience
- Public speaking experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with victims of human trafficking
- Experience developing and implementing training programs, particulaly programs geared to human trafficking prevention awareness
- Experience with public policy, data analysis, and research
Post-Offer, Pre-employment Requirements

The pre-employment screening process will be waived for current OAG personnel who have previously completed the screening requirements.
