HVAC Technician Job at Upland Capital Corp.
Full-time HVAC Technician who will be responsible for the daily maintenance and upkeep of several Class A commercial properties in Boston, Cambridge, and Somerville.

- Operate building equipment and systems proactively.
- Optimize the repair and operation of HVAC, electrical and plumbing equipment and systems.
- Use best practices to troubleshoot and repair equipment and system problems so that problems are resolved on the first attempt, in a cost-effective manner.
- Respond to tenant service requests in such a manner as to reduce tenant work orders and eliminate recurring problems.
- Inspect facilities, equipment, and systems to determine the condition of facilities, safe operation of equipment, quality and safety of work, and scheduled maintenance using hand, power and speciality tools.
- Schedule and coordinate vendor appointments and maintain work logs.
- Will be required to respond to 24-hour emergency calls for the assigned work area to perform emergency building or equipment repairs during off-duty hours.
- Foster a work environment that promotes energy conservation and continuous improvement of engineering functions.
- Consult with property manager routinely to keep abreast of inspections, action plans to conform to or exceed requirements.
Education & Qualifications:
- HVAC Installation or service experience.
- Strong “hands-on” troubleshooting skills in HVAC.
- Two-year trade school certificate emphasizing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety or building control systems a plus.
- Ability to lift in excess of 50 lbs.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Preferred:
- Universal CFC
- Massachusetts Refrigeration Technicians license
- OSHA Ten
- Massachusetts Driver’s license in good standing.
