POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for providing superior service to both internal and external guests, as well as responsible for the successful operation of the property computer and telephone systems, inclusive of the mainframe, personal computers, and the respective networks, hardware, and software.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

2. Responsible for the supervision and performance of the Data Center, including device connectivity, voice, data security, backup / recovery, operating system and application of support.

3. Provides technical expertise for operations of the Data Center.

4. Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing computer systems.

5. Tests and evaluates hardware and software to determine efficiency, reliability, and compatibility.

6. Maintains integrity and security of company information with regards to database backup / restore and disaster recovery planning.

7. Provide various oral and written reports to the IT Manager.

8. Review the existing Information System Policies, Standards, and / or other technical documents, procedures and systems, and make suggestions for improvement. Prepare and periodically update these as needed.

9. Other duties as assigned.

NON-ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Provides superior guest service, positively affects interactions with guests and employees and has the resiliency to deal with difficult guests in all types of business conditions and the ability to work effectively and courteously with fellow employees.

2. Keep informed of new technology and provides training, assists management, and develops services for property information systems.

3. Ensure the safety and security of employees and customers. Manages programs and processes to control and reduce loss time injuries. Ensure safety and security of all patrons and employees.

4. Assists and advises other departments and personnel as necessary to ensure the successful performance of IT and the Company overall.

5. Meet with directors and managers as necessary.

6. Achieve departmental and individual performance goals and duties in a timely manner.

7. Demonstrate ability to understand, communicate and comply with Company Policies, Processes, and Procedures.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

The position is responsible to the IT Manager for the successful performance of assigned duties.

Ability to use all equipment associated with the position, including, but not limited to, the following:

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Physical demands associated with the position including, but not limited to, extensive standing, walking, and lifting of up to 50lbs unassisted. Office environment Casino environment exposed to various temperatures, smoke, dust and fumes, bright lights, and excessive noise levels. May include boat and/or floating barge. High rise hotel and atrium. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Above average computer skills, including all Microsoft Office programs.

  • Ability to learn multiple casino tracking programs, inclusive of but not limited to: CMS, SDS, IGT, AS400, Micros, and LMS.

  • Management abilities demonstrated in managing cross-functional departments and areas.

  • Public relations and customer service skills.

  • Oral and written communication skills.

  • Maintaining interpersonal working relationships among all personnel.

  • Timeliness and accuracy in performing assigned duties and responsibilities.

  • Ability to analyze and interpret departmental needs and results.

  • Ability to manage and resolve complex issues. Can be a high stress environment.

  • Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressures.

  • Broad variety of tasks and deadlines requires an irregular work schedule in an interruptive environment.

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality relative to financial IT operational data, policies, procedures, internal controls, and casino operations.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND TRAINING

High school diploma or GED equivalent. At least five years’ experience in direct systems experience preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS

Must have or be able to obtain a valid state Employee Gaming License. Must have or be able to obtain a valid State Gaming License and Responsible Vendor card. The ability to obtain and maintain any licenses, permits, insurance, or indemnifications necessary for the completion of duties and responsibilities associated with this position or for the protection of the Company’s assets, employee or patrons.
