Helmed by Chef Scott Conant, The Americano is an Italian-inspired steakhouse that is modern in approach and Italian in spirit. With an elevated, yet approachable menu it serves every taste, from fine steaks, such as prime and American Wagyu beef, to freshly made pasta, organic salads, Italian antipasti and Mediterranean seafoods including Italian crudi. The Americano blends a European style of highly personalized, tableside service with contemporary Italian-inspired dining to create an unmistakable, convivial experience.

About the Position

• You will deliver food orders including any special needs or requests to the guest in-room, check completed kitchen orders with your co-workers; transport orders to the guestroom in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality.
• Greet guests, describe selected items to the guest using interesting, and vivid descriptions of the each item's, origin, taste, and preparation methods; communicate options for removal of trays and dishware; respond to request for tray removal according to established time standards.
• Breakdown, clean and set-up of room service tables, condiment set-ups, flatware, dishware, and room service side stations.
• Anticipate guest needs, determine happiness, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
• Properly and accurately close guest checks securing room number and signature; properly settle voided checks or complimentary meals.
• Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.

Who We Look For:

An ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year's food service or equivalent experience. They have the ability to work all shifts including, AM's, PM's, weekends, and holidays. Must have ability to communicate professional and accurately via telephone, count and record accurately and requires knowledge or the ability to operate computer equipment and the reservations system. Candidate is able to stand and walk up to 8 hours and able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds. This position Requires proficiency in the English language. Strong F&B knowledge is helpful.

RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS

• Clean and/or wipe down tables, chairs, walls, windows, mirror and floors of restaurant.

• Separate dirty china, glassware and silver and deliver to kitchen for cleaning.

• Perform other duties as assigned including but not limited to room service duties.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Basic reading, writing and math skills.

This job requires ability to perform the following:

• Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds

• Moving about the restaurant

• Handling food, objects; bus tray/tub, plates, glasses, utensils, etc.

• Bending, stooping, kneeling

Other:

• Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with guests, wait staff, cooks, and supervisor.

• Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government agency.

• Reading and writing abilities are utilized often to answer guest’s questions regarding the menu.

• Basic math skills are used when performing room service duties.

• May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
