Position Overview:

The Assembly Technician is accountable for performing standard and non-standard technical and assorted work on a diversity of life support, air-to-air refueling, and individual survival equipment systems.

In this role you will:

• Complete multifaceted work that is required to construct, assemble, inspect, test, calibrate, diagnose, analyze, troubleshoot, repair, replace, modify and program a variety of equipment and product lines
• Construct and put together new products in their developmental stage; cooperate with Engineers on prototype models, first article, and developmental units or upgrades to existing units
• Set up and manage various metal fabricating devices including rolling machine, drills and saws
• Utilize a variety of hand and power tools (including drills, sanders, files, grinders, rivet guns, and paint equipment), jigs, fixtures, gauges, and measuring and test equipment
• Document and maintain records of work activity for present and future reference
• Other related duties as allocated

Qualifications

Needed (Essential) Qualifications:

• 2 year technical degree (electrical or electrical/mechanical) or mechanical degree
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship presently and in the future
• This role necessitates the use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. citizens as defined by ITAR. ITAR characterizes a U.S. citizen as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this function. Only candidates within a 70-mile radius of Davenport, IA will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred qualifications:

• Background within a Manufacturing atmosphere
• 3 years troubleshooting experience acquired within the last 5 years

Position Criteria:

• Must possess noticeable skills in areas that encompass electronics, electro-mechanical, mechanical and hybrid combinations of the above
• Must demonstrate expertise in job related math skills
• Capability to read, comprehend and interpret technical and written instructions, engineering blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams including stack-up of tolerances
• Must understand electronic circuitry and be able to employ electronic tools and test equipment to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair electronic components and assemblies
• Must be able to perform assigned duties without benefit of a family of special tooling and/or test equipment
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. without aid
