Roles/Responsibilities:

The Project Engineer is a strategic technical position within the organization. This position is responsible for engineering and implementing complex projects within scope and budget defined in the statements of work.

• Perform new client integration procedures according to work plans
• Design, implement, and support services for Microsoft related technologies: Windows, Server, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, etc.
• Provide technical services and support at the network level: WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security
• Implement disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.
• Update and maintain appropriate documentation throughout al project lifecycles and updating staff of IT changes.
• Act as an escalation point within the service department for complex issues that require review.
• Communicate directly with customers as required: keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes, and agreed outages.
• Proficiency in and ability to implement and troubleshoot:
• Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems and Services
• Microsoft Cloud Systems
• Microsoft 365
• Unified Threat Management Appliances
• Managed Network Switching
• Voice over IP Telephone
• Workstation and Server Hardware

Education/Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED Required
• Two years of college preferred
• Three years of related experience or relevant coursework
• Two to three years working in a Technical Support/Service Desk environment. Past Managed Service Provider experience.
• Professional IT Certifications, such as:
• CompTIA Security+
• Microsoft MS-100, MS-500, or AZ-104
• Fortinet, Cisco, or SonicWall Certifications
