American Cedar & Millwork, Inc. in Millersville, Maryland, is seeking a self-motivated inside salesperson to join our dedicated team.

As an Inside Sales Associate, you will assist customers as they purchase the materials necessary for various building projects. From the first moment you greet a customer until their sale has been finalized and beyond, you will provide them with superior service and building supply expertise. This position offers excellent income potential and many training and growth opportunities.

Specific duties may include:

• Assisting customers in providing American Cedar & Millwork solutions to meet their needs
• Discussing features and benefits of products and services
• Establishing rapport with new customers and nurturing relationships with long-term customers
• Soliciting feedback from customers on products and services
• Coordinating delivery requests to ensure efficiency and customer satisfaction
• Assisting in the development of branch sales plan and strategy
• Assisting in the design and execution of merchandising strategy
• Determining customers’ needs and recommending appropriate products and solutions, up-selling additional products and supplies for each job
• Answering incoming phone calls and emails to assist customers promptly
• Accepting payment and applying it to the appropriate customer account
• Arranging with the warehouse for customer product pick-up
• Addressing and resolving service concerns, should they arise
• Supporting the outside sales team as necessary

Specific qualifications include:

• Lumber and building materials sales experience
• Exceptional customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Solid time management and prioritization skills,
• Basic computer skills
• Positive attitude and team player
• Detail and service-oriented
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
