Responsibilities:
- Lead engineering work/deliverables as part of the Instrumentation & Control team
- Ensures all engineering and design work performed adheres to safety, quality, cost, and schedule requirements
- Participates in project execution strategy and planning
- Drives innovative solutions, technology advances, and methods to effectively deal with working out of sequence
- Coordinate/Communicate with other disciplines and the client
- Assist and support junior personnel within the Instrumentation & Controls engineering team
- Ensures team member adherence to generally accepted engineering and design practices, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications
- Keep up-to-date with the latest developments and technical innovations in instrumentation & controls engineering.
- Must be able to work independently and proactively on tasks assigned as well as collaboratively with an integrated team
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment due to accelerated schedules
- Candidate must be able to communicate well (oral and written) in English language
Technical and Industry Experience:
- P&IDs
- Instrument Datasheets (Flow, Pressure, Level, Temperature, Control Valves, On/Off Valves, etc.)
- I/O Lists
- Control Narratives
- Cause and Effect Diagrams
- Design/Implementation of DCS/SIS/PLC Systems
- Design/Implementation of DCS/SIS/PLC Communication Networks
- Material Requisitions
- Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT)
- Construction and/or Engineering Work Packages
- Competent in Instrumentation and Control requirements for Mechanical packages
- Competent use of relevant software such as Smart Instrumentation Suite and MS Office Suite
- Able to perform job walks wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) in an operating facility
- May require travel to jobsites and/or manufacturing locations
Required:
- Accredited Engineering Degree in General Engineer, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 10+ years of direct Instrumentation and Controls engineering experience
- Professional Engineering License is preferred
